mvBlueLYNX-M7 aids Automatic Number Plate Recognition and vehicle counting.

The Alrad website featured product for March 2008 is the Matrix Vision mvBlueLYNX-M7 intelligent sensor. More and more cities around the world try to control the traffic in order to avoid traffic congestions.
Examples are LONDON and STOCKHOLM with their Congestion Charge.
The camera could be used to enforce the payment of the charge by registering the number plates "on the fly".
Number plate recognition for restricted areas (parking lots, companies, airports,....) car size classification, average speed cameras are also examples where you could use the camera.
Any toll plaza on a motorway would use these cameras as well. Also traffic frequency counts are an application field. Alrad now have a dedicated web page on the mvBlueLYNX
