RGB Lighting Systems from DCM Sistemes for machine vision applications
RGB lighting systems are more flexible then monochrome lighting and can easily adapted for different colour related applications.
The colour of light is one of the five factors affecting lighting. Depending on its colour, we are able to group the light in monochromatic light, white light or RGB light. Each of these three groups contributes different characteristics which allow the user to tailor the light for inspecting different objects. The RGB colour model is based on additive synthesis (the system in which the three primary colours together produce a white colour). With this synthesis it is possible to represent a colour by mixing of the three primary light colours red, green and blue. Normally used with monochrome cameras to change the contrasts between colours present in the object or RGB cameras to generate structured light colours, it very useful in applications such as weld inspection or to adjust colour temperatures.

LED light source for defect detection in industrial imaging
We are pleased to announce the introduction of the DKL1813 LED ring light from Industrial Imaging lighting specialist DCM Sistemes.
With dark field illumination you can light objects with a small angle, highlighting a variety of defects, such as cracks and small bumps on flat surfaces (bright spots appear at the positions of the defects). The DKL1813 system from DCM Sistemes can cover a working area up to 35mm at a distance of between 8mm and 20mm.
Typical applications that are ideal for this type of lighting are those of inspection of metal objects with small lumps or indentations. DCM Sistemes, offers the ability to customize the solution to your lighting problem.
The DKL1813 can be offered with different light intensities and a variety of wavelengths. The system offers low power consumption, and MLHW up to 100,000 hours and is available with continuous or strobe operation.

High Power Industrial lighting solutions
We are pleased to announce that high power LED lighting specialist DCM Sistemes has introduced two new products for machine vision applications. The first is a 500Watt LED 300mm diameter circular array allowing 360˚ inspection. This strobing light unit has 12 multiple sectors each of which can be operated individually. The unit incorporates an on board memory and has trigger I/Os to allow synchronization with the camera. The unit allows up to 400 triggers per second.
The second light is a Dome illumination unit. This is ideal for applications such as bottle top or can inspection. It allows the user to choose three different levels of each colour (RGB) and is capable of being strobed at 400pps. Both lights are provided with a complete software
