LED Illumination

Light emitting diodes, also known as LEDs, are based on semiconductor connections that convert current directly into light. In contrast to incandescent lamps, LEDs do not radiate heat and are for the most part insensitive to mechanical factors. LEDs have the longest service live of all commercially available illumination technologies. LED components consume a comparatively low amount of power and as a result of their light weight are excellent for attachment to moving camera heads or machine parts. Volpi offers you the complete spectrum of LED components for brightfield, darkfield and backlight illumination.

Darkfield Illumination

Dark field illumination has the effect that only part of the light which is deflected by dispersion, reflection, refraction or diffraction reaches the camera lens. Dark field illumination allows edges and height structures of objects to be highlighted.
